While I am a fiction writer in my spare time, I am also an experienced communications professional with over 10 years of multi-national experience in public relations, social media management, and strategic communications.

I was part of the pioneer team at Gardens by the Bay (Singapore) and handled publicity for its iconic festivals and events for over eight years. Subsequently, I moved to a strategic communications agency and worked with B2B and B2C clients on their communication goals. I have experience working with media from Asia, Australia, and the United States. I deliver insightful communication strategies for my clients. I am skilled at crafting press releases, byline articles, talking points, and speeches.

Research Project

In 2023 when ChatGPT was starting to gain widespread adaptation, we conducted a research study into concerns people had about ChatGPT. We discovered that, contrary to conventional opinion at that time, people were not overly concerned about privacy and copyright issues. Instead, people were highly concerned about the accuracy of critical information (medical and legal) on the app.

Our team was honored to eventually present the research project at the 2023 Annual Emerson-Blanquerna Global Communication Summit in Barcelona.

Following the lawsuit that Authors Guild filed against OpenAI in September 2023, I analyzed the communication strategy of OpenAI and how that related back to their overall branding. Link.
